5 Tips to Study Your Bible:

5 Tips to Study Your Bible:

1. Find the right Bible for YOU.

When it comes to a Bible, I would recommend the She Reads Truth Bible. It's beautiful and has tons of features including devotionals, history of book, authors and so on. It also has reading plans. I don't use mine anymore because I wanted to try out a new translation BUT that Bible is my favorite Bible in the world. There are journaling spots and over half of the women at my church use it because of my recommendation.

2. Find a tool to help with your study time.

When it comes to a helpful tool, I recommend trying out "The Daily Grace Co" studies. You can find them on Instagram or their website. I lead a women's small group almost every semester and use their studies. A group of women and I work on it individually during the week then come together to discuss. They are amazing!!! I highly recommend their study on Ruth and Daughters of Grace. We've also done Lysa T.'s study "40 Days through the Bible." This study was PHENOMENAL. It really helped us ladies in studying the Word and digging deeper. I do not use devotionals because they don't work well for me but that doesn't mean they won't for you!

3. Make it personal.

My study looks very different than my husbands or even my best friends. I have learned that the Lord made me specifically for this time and season. He wants me to have my own personal and special relationship with Him. It doesn't have to be perfect but getting in the Word where it most saturates my heart is all that matters!

4. Reach out to others.

It's okay to reach out for others and ask how they navigate studying the Word. I just believe that it is so important not to compare your relationship and intimacy with the Lord. There are always new ideas and tips but the Lord is specific to you!

5. Give yourself grace!

This season of my life is very different because of starting a new job, having two littles and transitions within our church family. I am learning to give myself LOTS of grace and that everyday might look different with my quiet time. Either way, I am thankful to spend some time with Jesus.
